>>bail is what we need to post when we need to get out of jail<<
Lars,
I am speller boy! Man, I hate it when I do that! Frost, what is that? We don't see frost untill November (not even David). As far as Mexican Strats, I'd play one. I'm not the guy wanting a custom built guitar. The red roof thing is out because some hotel chain saw the advantages of RED. If I need bail, don't send me any Bermuda.

>>Since you and I are the keepers of the world with our building<<

Lars,
So, Steve and you have a building? I hope it's a RED building. Are you rolling big bails or getting your exercise with a hook and 90 pound square bails? We have had so much rain this summer that everybody here is getting an extra cutting ot two.

>>A student of mine is looking to have a custom guitar built for him<<
Ted,
Hmmm....Well, it's been quiet around here so I'm going to give my opinion.
Has this student ever owned a stock (American made) Strat? Unless he (she) absolutely plays the @#$% out of the instrument, I wouldn't let them be distracted by a "custom" made (sorry Mel). I'm guessing that this student is at a level where he (she) should be more concerned about how they are playing and not what they are playing. Spend $650 on a new American made Strat or find a used one that some other student gave up on and keep practicing.........Just my humble two cents worth. I know, I'm no fun. Mel, you are the custom guitar builder, what are your thoughts?

Now we all need to participate a little more. I've been very busy taking my family to professional wrestling matches and cheerleading meets so I can't be expected to run this board all of the time!

Lars,
One of the best scenes in Waynes World was the music store and the sign on the guitar rack read "No Stairway To Heaven". I guess it was every budding guitar student's goal to play it.

>>Did you play at the "stampede gala"<<
I did! I did! Oooh wait, that was 1974. What was the question?
