Steve,
Tim Godwin called me about three months ago. Yes, he is an artist rep. for Line6 (maker of the Pod which our bass player uses) and would be excellent on the board. His performance background is good too. Spent some time on the road with Air Supply and such. Happy Guitar Talk™

>>time to plan anouther trip..somewhere we can catch fish this time<<
Steve,
I caught a fish last time! Welcome to the board, we've been waiting for you my friend.
P.S. Tell Lars that red is your favorite color.

Rich,
I'm the steel guitar weirdo in this bunch (notice I did not say pedal-steel, a 70's term) . Welcome aboard!

To the rest of you guys,
Knowing the deep country enthusiast that you all are, let me save you some future embarrassment by giving you the correct spelling. It is spelled: Charley. Who said you can't learn anything from a country hick......

Lars,
I'll send you my musical history at some point. It is mostly in live performance, radio, television, and studio work. Lots of familiar names, venues, and blah, blah, blah.

Todd
Mel,

I'm new here. Ted invited me. Hey, I take it you live in the San Luis Valley. Is this true?

>>the post's you see are listed alpha.-- last name, so Todd's show first-that is annoying. It would be nice if the newest post showed first.<<

When I pull up Guitar Talk™ I get it in chronological order (last post first). It only annoys me if it's Ted's post.

>>Are we only supposed to pass along technical knowledge about our very specific niches concerning guitars, amps, in a solemn, serious vein?<<

Lars,
Like yourself, I can't take myself too seriously. I believe that a good sense of humor is important for dealing with life in general. Not sure why Ted took away the moderator thing but I'm sure he will explain.

Lars,
Red is truly the best sound! After that last post though, we not only need your resume but also a urine sample (no bovine). Sorry man, mandatory drug testing is in force at Guitar Talk. We can't have it too "happy". All kidding aside, tell us your thoughts on the 5 string bass.

Mel,
Do you have the resources for Allen & Bradley 500K pots? If so, many steel guitarist will flock. It is the ideal replacement potentiometer for nearly every volume pedal. If not, no disappointment they are hard to come by at a reasonable price.

Wow, Guitar Talk™ was hopping this week! Welcome to the forum Mel. That Fender Twin w/JBL's was the standard for steel guitarist until about 1975 when Peavey introduced the Session 400 w/JBL. On the Fender Twin, many steel guitarists replaced the two 12"s with a 15" to get that bottom thing happening. Hey Lars..... do bass players really use a flat pick? Happy Guitar Talk™.

Ted,
Pay the man $5.00. Send it to me and I'll make sure Lars gets it........Honest.

>>How do you guys get that little trademark thingy<<

Ted,
It's quite easy but since you are a Mac man it may not be possible.............I'm a funny guy. Happy playing and Happy Guitar Talk™
Todd
Ted,
Truly a sad day for us when a D-45 slips through our hands. Johnny Cash probably owned that guitar (wild speculation and what a great guitarist). Shoot, I would have paid $120 for a D-18!
